If you are looking for a great workhorse laptop, either for work or pleasure, then you will not go wrong with this great new model from HP.
The DV6 series has been a very durable model for some time, but the latest versions have taken a large leap forward with the new CPU/graphics combo. Like the previous DV6 generation it is well constructed with a metallic toned black exterior. The specs for this model are set above what the average home owner needs today which (in my mind) future proofs it nicely.
The brand new i5 processor works well enough to run anything and everything you need.

Dell Studio XPS 16
I was asked a few weeks ago to source the perfect laptop for the requirements of one of my clients, and ended up with this little beauty.
The Dell Studio XPS 16 is designed for those who want power, cutting-edge features, and style. Sleek design combined with a 1080p display and powerful components come together to make for an awesome notebook, with a metal and leather look.
I love the new Dell Studio XPS range, and am recommending them to all of my clients and friends. I've never been a fan of Dell in the past, but these are well worth the money.

Sony Viao VPC-Z112GX/S
I thought I would start this blog by reviewing the laptop that I have just bought.
Though most laptop shoppers may be laser-focused on value, snapping up $300 Netbooks and $600 ULV systems, there's always a little room at the top of the heap for a high-priced, full-featured showpeice. In the 13-inch category, HP has the Envy 13, Dell has the Adamo XPS, and Sony has the Vaio Z Series.
I have used Sony machines for most of my working life, and this is my third Z Series. I change every year or so for work, but most people wouldn't need to. My other two are still going strong, even in the hands of my nieces.
I have only had this laptop for a couple of weeks, but can already see the difference between this and my Dell. Lighter and more durable, twice the speed and a fantastic screen make this a keeper for me.
I'll update the review once I have had it for a couple of months.
